During the official visit to the People’s Republic of China, ‘John Naisbitt’ University delegation led by Dr. Ana Jurcic, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and  Dr. Katarina Zakic, Director of the Chinese Centre, participated in the Serbian week of economy, trade and culture, representing the University and its potential in the city of Shenzhen.

This unique economic and cultural forum was organized on March 26-28 by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Shenzhen Central and Eastern European Countries Economy and Culture Association – CEEEC.

The fact that the delegation of the Republic of Serbia was led by the representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Ministry of Culture and Information and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, as well as more than 30 businessmen from the state and private companies adds more importance to the event.

In order to implement the strategy of ‘One belt, one road’, consolidate economic and trade relations, and primarily promote educational and cultural exchange with the People’s Republic of China, a round table  of Universities was held at Shenzhen University on the occasion of which opinions about future challenges and opportunities in the development of “New silk road” were exchanged.

Professors Jurcic and Zakic participated in this round table, presenting to their Chinese, but also Romanian colleagues the benefits of studying and professional development at ‘John Naisbitt’ University. Underlining the internationalization strategy which  ‘John Naisbitt’ University has been pursuing in harmony with the global trends, as well as the positive experiences and results achieved the by Department of International Cooperation and the University Chinese Center, they also presented the possibilities of cooperation between Serbia and China in the field of higher education.

This visit has strengthened and deepened mutual relations and trust with Chinese partners. It is with great pleasure that we are looking forward to further negotiations and cooperation at the beginning of June, when the Chinese delegation from Shenzhen will return the visit to our University, on the basis of positive impressions.
